Kabusecha is a steamed, shaded tea that has the flavour characteristics similar to Gyokuro and Sencha.
Shaded for 1–3 weeks before harvest, this technique slows photosynthesis and boosts L-Theanine levels, resulting in a tea that’s both calming and flavourful.
Brewing Instructions (Serves 2):
1. Place 7g of tea leaves into your kyusu.
2. Pour 120ml of hot water (80°C) into your kyusu.
3. Steep for 45 seconds, then strain evenly into two small teacups.
